My projects focus on storytelling. Stories can shift and transform over time, just like the objects they can break, fracture, and wear down, only to be reassembled and repaired. When I collect stories from friends, acquaintances, and strangers, I pay attention to how they are told: Is it a complaint, a confession, or perhaps an attempt to relive a moment that has passed? The accuracy of these stories is less important to me than the way they evolve and the emotional life they take on. Like objects, stories possess sentimental value. Both are filled with meaning and shaped by time.
